Gosh, I thought that was one-way traffic - amazing fightback from Kat in the second set

The first set was *0-5 and from then it became very even, with just the one break midway through the third.

SF:- Katherine Barnes (GBR) WR1080 v Ava Hrastar (USA) [Q] UNR/CH=905 in 2019

Hrastar has a good record in college tennis - so going to be a tough match.

Hraster knocked out the top seed and Kat knocked out the 4th and 6th seeds so it could be quite a battle.

FWIW Katherine won a Cat A Optim Tour event (on clay) at the weekend - I think that's the Czech version of the British Tour.

Just had a hunt around and found this about Hraster on the Texas A & M website

"The graduate from Duluth, Georgia, joins the Aggies from Ole Miss where she spent the year at the top of the Rebels' lineup in both singles and doubles last season. She secured 14 singles wins to pair with another 13 in doubles. Prior to Hrastar's time in Oxford she spent four years at Georgia Tech, where she was named an ITA All-American in doubles and was listed on the All-ACC Third Team. She also accumulated 42 singles wins and 45 doubles wins during her time with the Yellow Jackets."

Will do her ranking a world of good. This will be her 12th counter - 6 of the 12 are 1 point.
