I see that Desirae & Neal saved a MP at *8-9 in the MTB. Phew.

Joe & Heather 5-7 5-3, Charlie & Emily 4-6 6-5 when play was suspended.

They are doubling up tomorrow with five unfinished R1s and all 8 R2s and some players have mens or ladies doubles as well. And the weather is not perfect.

Absolutely crazy having a Thursday final, especially as mixed has to be scheduled after singles and same gender doubles.

A bit of flexibility and replan the mixed doubles schedule?

Yeah, sure.

But for me it is not a great when you move the mixed to Thursday because well I am not really sure of the reason and then it does not even take place.

And now they will be stuck in between rushing the competition through and moving it.

They've just announced that the mixed doubles final will be on Sunday.

ha. That feels like it could become a more permanent change back to what it was only a couple of years ago. Finishing the tournament with mixed always worked well for me

What is the weather doing today at SW19? The TNNS app says it is clear currently, but obviously no play yet?

Covers are on. I have the stream up for Court 12 and it says no play before 12:30. A few spectators around, all with brollies up.

ughh. Here in Yorkshire it is bucketing it down -  it is the first day of the Great Yorkshire Show today about 2 miles from where I live and it is a wet, soggy, torrential mess

Common sense prevails, but clearly they were still a bit undecided last night as they would not have tried to make players play 3 matches today otherwise.

The weird thing is they previously changed the Saturday finals schedule from womens singles/mens doubles (5 sets)/ladies doubles to ladies singles/ mens doubles (3 sets). For me with the change in mens doubles there was no need to move the ladies doubles to Sunday. The original Saturday schedule for this year with only a minimum of 4 sets and a maximum of 6 was unnecessarily light.

Now they have moved the ladies doubles back to Saturday for this year they should keep this exact schedule for the next years.
