Emma should never have agreed to play Mixed Doubles to begin with . Maybe she felt she couldnt turn down the invitation or didnt think shed make it to the fourth round .
Clearly this wrist problem is nonsense . She just used it as an excuse . She also should have shown a lot more contrition given the circumstances.
I dont think shes done herself any favours in the eyes of the general public. Equally some better scheduling might have helped , ordinarily doubles are last on but the club could have stuck them first on which may have meant she didnt pull out.
