Emma should never have agreed to play Mixed Doubles to begin with . Maybe she felt she couldnt turn down the invitation or didnt think shed make it to the fourth round .

Clearly this wrist problem is nonsense . She just used it as an excuse . She also should have shown a lot more contrition given the circumstances.

I dont think shes done herself any favours in the eyes of the general public. Equally some better scheduling might have helped , ordinarily doubles are last on but the club could have stuck them first on which may have meant she didnt pull out.

They couldn't have the put the match on first. Arevalo had men's doubles.

Have they changed the scoring system because of the weather? Was three full sets up until last year.

Yes on commentary they said it was a MTB because of weather to try and catch up.

Yes, the commentators said because of the weather. The final is due to be played on Thursday but its looking like they will struggle to keep that.

Thanks. At least they are not using no-ad. Wonder if they will revert to three full sets later in the event.

I see that Marcus and Lissey served 12 aces in their match. I wouldn't be surprised in Marcus served them all (including 3 consecutive in one of the few games I saw) - although Lissey does serve a few herself.

Really pleased to see Lissey get to play on No.1 court, and win!
