Just looking at the live race race positions before Wimbledon battle commences, unusually we don't have anyone in the top 10. But 4 of our players are in the top 20 with their Wimbledon partners.

14. Julian ( & Robert Galloway ) 1431 points
16. Joe ( & Rajeev Ram ) 1330
18. Lloyd ( & Jean-Julien Rojer ) 1255
19. Henry ( & Harri Heliovaara ) 1227

#1 is Bolelli & Vavassori on 4410 points - Henry & Harri's R1 opponents.

#8 is Nys & Zielinski on 2060 points.

And a great win for Harri and Henry in straight sets!

L32:  Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 79 (37+42) vs Pedro Martínez & Jaume Munar (ESP/ESP) CR 813 (246+567) (*)

(*) must've sneaked in on their respective singles rankings (49+63)

Munar played well on grass in the opening singles against Billy (I think that is right?), so these wont be easy, but surely H and H must be favoured?

That's a great result from Harri and Henry, especially given Indy's post about Bolelli and Vavassori being first in the race. Well done, boys!

Had a feeling they might win that match on grass, although the Italians are in great form this year and won at Halle. Harri and Henry have really clicked.

I take it you long ago abandoned your personal 'rule' that if any of our players wins both doubles Slam  titles that automatically usurps one winning just a singles Slam title for PoM

Sorry, not sorry

Anyway, I hope you are right re the doubles. 40 British main draw wins in total here we come! Maybe I've gone too low ...

Me also. Re the doubles, just feels like we have at least 4 genuine mens doubles challengers (Joe, Neal, Julian, Henry) and at least 3 are on form and Joe can always pull out big wins; and no other pair is really doing better on grass than our teams. I wouldnt like to say which might win, just feel 1 will.

mixed I think it is a numbers game (16 of 64 players in the field are Brits) and again, Joe/Heather, Neal, Jamie, Lloyd/Harriet seem like reasonably good shouts to me.

Ive not named Andy deliberately as I just dont know what to think of his chances!
