Now WHERE has this Norrie been all year?!

I was about to ask the same question!

Me too! Did say he had to get it back sooner or later. So lets see what Jacks made of.

And I came here to say the same thing. Jack is looking puzzled as well !

L64:  Cameron Norrie WR 42 defeated (28) Jack Draper WR 28 by 7-6(3) 6-4 7-6(6)  biggrin  bleh

Giron or Zverev (4) in the last 32.

Well, good stuff forCam, pleased to see him win.

Not sure I expected that but its good he has found some form. Hope Giron finds a way past Zverev and plays him next!

Good job the new young French guns are doing really well - otherwise I might even be a tad miserable

I wonder if Jack may have peaked too early this year, like a few weeks ago when he won Stuttgart and beat Alcaraz at Queens.

What happened for Hubi to retire at match point down? Why on earth retire at match point down?! Didnt see what happened but seems a poor time to retire to me!

Hubi dived for a point, Fils missed an open court as he lay prone on the floor. Then he needed a trainer as he had badly hurt his knee tried to continue but lost the next two points (but actually played well and even dived again for a point!) before retiring whilst limping heavily

He injured himself whilst diving for a shot like Becker used to do.

Will it be fair to be pissed at Dart and Norrie if they do indeed lose tamely in the next round

 Not really fair, no.

Didn't someone say that Cam had been working on making his game more attacking? If so, seems to have come good today and if that creates a healthy rivalry for the Brit no. 1 slot the all to the good in my opinion.

Certainly not!

I too would have preferred both Jack and Katie to win, but Cam and Harriet attended to their business and got their wins. And will no doubt try to give of their best in R3.

Surely if we are to be 'pissed at' anyone ( and I wouldn't be ) it should be with Jack and Katie for not bringing their best games to the table today and winning.

Agreed and agreed! It shows how tennis is such a fickle sport and so much based on mentality on the day and match ups. Which is what makes it great. i remember some stats site such as Tennis Abstract showing how the top players only win circa 52-55 percent of all points they play and how the game therefore turns on minor things - and the top players do these the best.

taking care of business is what it is all about and Cam and Harriet did that - although Im disappointed it was that way around!

I was being flippant, but on a serious note, Draper struggled in both matches. I wonder if the pressure got to him
