I was trying to put a smiley emoji after it as an ironic post! But it didnt come out with the emoji on the post! Yes, sorry realised its Novak. Got to be looking at centre court, maybe with Jack and Cam as well on centre or court one?

I'd guess (hope) they'll put both GB no. 1 v GB no. 2 matches on Centre and Court 1 and put Jake v Note on the same court as Katie v Harriet.

Yes, the Thursday spectators have the pick of the days Id say, from a British perspective !
Spare a thought for Elias Ymer - Jack's opponent. He has come through qualifying at every Grand Slam so far only to be eliminated in the first round every time.
So we managed 8 wins across mens and womens with Dan still in action, but unlikely to add to that tally. If we took Andys 29% out of the equation, does that mean we have probably ended just over a win down from the odds, Steven? Which feels a little like Eric Morecambe - weve got most of the players through just in all of the wrong places?!
How did Searle do today in terms of quality. The result looks like he put up a good fight. I have noticed people on this board don't seem to get too excited about him ( not necessarily a bad thing) but he has had a pretty solid grass court season at only 18. Not a criticism in anyway, just wondering

Watched the first 2 sets and he handled himself very well! had one of the harder draws and think he did himself more than proud. I'm not expert on techniques but he looks quite solid in his game for his age. Wasn't really expecting a win and he had his chances even towards the end so he can be proud of that effort.
Shame maybe he didn't get a better draw but quite excited about where his game can get to.
Caught the last set and a bit. Seemed well in it. Cant remember if it was the break in the 3rd or 4th set. He missed a forehand then went to pieces for the game. Hope he can get his ranking up to regularly play at challenger level, as I feel he can compete at that level and getting out of the ITFs will be good. Dont think hes quite ready to rip through the rankings but he doesnt seem far from putting it all together. Exciting talent.

More like 2 down overall - taking Andy out of the totals just before play started on day 1 left E(men) = 5.81 and E(women) = 3.95, so the women ended up about 1 up and the men about 3 down (unless Dan turns things around, of course!)

I watched a lot of set 1, a fair bit of set 2, and some of 4
I thought he did very well
His serve was working pretty well, he really went for his shots, used his leftiness, caused Giron quite a lot of problems
He had a lot of support, and he likes that - he likes playing on a stage - it's an important quality and not one you really learn
There wasn't really a dip in level after he won set one, more like Giron just got very business-like and won by match management - knew exactly when to really close the door, and when to let Henry do his flashy shot without caring
Henry hit more aces, more winners, than Giron, which I think is impressive, given he's a junior
But Giron made sure he took care of business on the crunch points
In terms of potential, about 2-3 years back, I went to a GB event and mentioned Phoenix Weir and Henry Searle as the two who really stood out. Now Phoenix is not really setting the world on fire (yet) but Henry is - I think he's a very exciting prospect, especially on grass.
