Not gone well for the guys so far. Yes, of course our guys are largely much lower ranked WCs. But let's be honest, I am sure not just the bookies, but most of us here, anticipated rather more wins than just Jake by now - in this home grass Slam, with some of the performances coming in, and with the numbers.

It can happen though. Not a good couple of days for it to happen but such days can happen and there are no awful losses in there - just we anticioated more.. Pity but some have had very good days recently and will have good days again, and I really don't think it needs any huge analysis and hand-wringing, and certainly not another airng of the old alleged psychological shortfall bumph ( which simply is nothing particular to our players about whom it is easy to point to many other fine match play peformances, and IMO it is not to do with this being Wimbledon ). Have our winning women suddenly found some great psychological breakthrough?  Err no.

Hopefully we can yet.add at least a couple more guys' wins.

Harris and Jubb losing are particularly disappointing given there match ups and current form, however Billy was just outplayed today

Billy and Paul and Jan losing is a shame but not that unexpected

If Jack loses, though, it's complete disaster scenario time !!!!

Oh dear I have a bad feeling about this . Ymer is playing the match of his life and manages to save 3 break points with aces .

This would be a huge let down for the tournament if Jack loses here.

Still think Jack will do it myself. He's the better all round player and it's Wimbledon.

Im not sure if Jack, losing would be a let down for the tournament. It wouldnt be good and I would be sad for him, but there are some other Brits in the draw. If he loses then the best player on the day won. I do think he can work the crowd to help him though. I think he has got him now though, raised his game young Jack and got that serve firing.

Hooray!  A win for Cam:

L128:  Cameron Norrie WR 42 defeated Facundo Díaz (ARG) WR 67 by 5, 5 & 3  smile

Looks pretty much as though Jack will survive a bit of a scare in the final set of his encounter with Ymer to take him on in the next round.

Yay, go Cam! Really great to see him get a straight sets win after his terrible form recently. (Although... I did watch a bit of the match and.... so many unforced errors from sloppy groundstrokes. Which is consistent with his recent lack of success.)

Phew! Cam really needed that. The break for closing the roof came at the perfect time for Jack, he reset really well mentally and should close this out comfortably.

I wouldn't say it's comfortable.  He's still having to work very hard.

And he did:

L128:  (28) Jack Draper WR 28 defeated (Q) Elias Ymer (SWE) WR 205 by 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 6-3

*****

L64:  (28) Jack Draper WR 28 vs Cameron Norrie WR 42
