Weeks 27-28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass)

Sonay absolutely bossed Cirstea - such positive play and backed herself to win.

That was insane. She was fantastic and just totally tore down Sorana's confidence. She just always looks so relaxed and loose in her swing. The whip and angle is just ferocious.

What an excellent win, looked the far better player from what I watched and I did miss the 1st set!

Outplayed in the first set, level in the second up to 2-2, and then she won 10 games in a row!

Amazing! Sonay has languished for so long in the 200s partly due to injury so really hope this can be a springboard for her.

It seems like she's been around for a long time but she's still only 22 so hopefully this is a platform for her now she is injury free and through her health issues. So good to see her having this spell when she said she hadn't been sure she'd even be able to play at all this year.

Together with the qualifying points that moves Sonay up 79 places to 219, Lily moves up 14 places to 134 and Emma moves up 19 places to 116.

£93k for Lily and Sonay is a really decent chunk of money. Good stuff for both of them.
