Wozniaki has lost the first set 0-6 to Rybakina. Has asked for time out to consult her father about what to do.
Then rain came down and the roof is being closed so she has been given more time to come up with a solution.
I understand Emma has a wrist problem, let's hope dropping out of the doubles is just precautionary.
She should never have agreed to play mixed doubles. Murray should have thought this was a likely eventuality and perhaps linked up with someone else. Too late now.
The thing about Harriet is she is basically maximising ever last drop of her game to compete at this level. That she is able to do so for such long periods is quite something. While I think those two real bad misses were crucial, Wang also went through periods of missing big returns off weak second serves and spraying groundstrokes. If she'd made those, as she should have been given her ranking, Harriet may never have even been in a winning position.
Jo actually said something quite insightful: that Harriet needed to remember Wang also has a say in the outcome of the match. The problem was she didn't cope when the better tennis started coming, and instead of sticking to or remembering what she was doing well, got flustered and frustrated and tense.
Fourth round would be beyond what I would ever have expected from Harriet. Gutted for her she couldn't make it happen. Especially given it's Svitolina not Jabeur (poor Ons).

Harriet was 3-0 up in the third set. Wang improved but Harriet lost in no small account due to the fact that she can't control her negative emotions. The addition of a decent sports psychologist may be able to help her with this. She was playing well for most of the match.
I watched the Svitolina match and she was very very good, especially in the first set. Ons would have been a better bet for Harriet to beat.

He should have partnered Heather - that would have been appreciated by the public. I dont blame Emma not wanting to risk her progress from injury for what is essentially an exhibition match
Poots on grass - and having won Birmingham ? Swiatek not played on grass since the QF last year ? I'm not in the least surprised - I would say 50-50 before the match.

Well, I obviously saw it coming after it happened, but not before!

I think Joe Salisbury would have something to say about that. Heather wants a partner she can win with, not just to be Andy's plus one.
