Oh no! Harriet battles to deuce, great defence but then missed the easy putaway into the net. Wang then holds with a net cord.

Ouch. That was a real chance.

Ugh. I think that might be that for this one. Wang is slowly finding a better level.

In a little trouble here now though. Terrible error at *15-30, but she saves the two break points only to dump a forehand into the net. A random ace to save it, doesn't hit many of those! Gets lucky with a sprayed return off another puff second serve. Gets a short return, such a routine put away, and nets! Oh no third time she's done that now on crucial points.

On serve again. Ouch.

First time in the match Harriet now leaking a few errors off the ground having been so so solid. Cannot believe she missed that forehand for 4-1*

Oh this is a real collapse. Wang is playing better and she's just not coping with it.

Just as she never recovered from missing the easy shot at 5-4* deuce, she's not been the same since missing the sitter on game point at *3-1.

Her balls are getting slower and shorter every game. Agonising.

Gets a break point but misses the forehand inside-in and Wang eventually holds. It's over a few moments later as she crumbles through an extremely ugly final service game.

Agony.

She created the chances but just couldn't get it done against an opponent who was really struggling to find her tennis consistently. Credit to Wang for digging in and finding some better quality as the match went on, the scoreline was absolutely not just about Harriet. But gosh she had all the opportunities. So sore that one.
