I remember watching the US Open semi between Emma and Maria Sakkari and I honestly thought that in Emma's win today she looked more convincing than she did back then.

The draw has really opened up. Great chance for Emma to go very deep.

Congratulations Emma. Last 16. What another good performance and a great chance of reaching the last eight.
Emma showing at #92 on live rankings. Back in the top 100 where she belongs.

Brilliant performance again.

Very good chance at the QF and even then SF if she keeps this up.

Dead right. Where she belongs. What a talent.

Yes a very good chance. After Lulu the QF opponent would be Badosa or Yastremska/Vecic (one set all on court one atthis moment). Then the big names arrive - Paolini/Keys or Navarro/Gauff.

Could be an interesting second week

So Emma follows up her first win against a top 10 ranked player last week with a 2nd this week.

Over her career she's back in credit against top 50 players. Won 22, lost 21 ( she did get a fast start by winning her first 7 at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2021 )

Anyway, it's great to see

It might have been better for Emma to be facing a higher ranked player .

Theres a lot of pressure on her to win this match .

The graveyard shift. Dont understand that.  Did the same to Katie a couple of years ago I recall

Nope, I'll take the easier looking match thank you very much. Yes, there will be expectation and pressure but in the round yes I'd definitely take it for a L16 match.

Was it not the old #2 court ( now #3 court ) that was in the past referred to as the graveyard court, and really more for big names / champions?

First on court 2 looks fine to me    I don't know what there is to not understand
