Weeks 27-28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass)

What on earth is this display from Katie Boulter?! Worst Ive ever seen her play. Thought she was dodgy at Eastbourne and in her 1st round but this is something else

Pegula on the ropes in her match... real chance for Boulter or Dart to take advantage of draw opening up

Katie's forehand is still in Nottingham I think. She's definitely struggling with the additional pressure. Very messy.

Wang served for the match at *6-5 and had a match point at 7-6* in the breaker but Pegula wins it and I think will comfortably take the third.

I wouldnt be confident of Katie beating either Pegula or Wang the way is she is playing. So disappointing after the season shes had so far

I think Katie would play much better if she survives this in the next round. Not saying she would beat Pegula, but I think there's a tension and a slight desperation to her tennis today that wouldn't exist in another context.

Katie saves a break point at *2-4 and trying to pump herself up. Not over. Quality nudging up very slowly.

Impressive defence from Harriet but somewhat fortunate to get away with her clear reluctance to attack when the opportunity arose. Katie struck a lot of super shots and a huge number of errors. Katie really struggled to return the Dart 1st serve, so many ordinary looking first serves went unreturned.

Bit of deliberate reverse psychology for the tennis Gods Indy!

Katie breaks back and starting to play much better. Feel for Harriet, you can see the stress and emotion hitting her now it's slipping away. Katie is the right winner overall I think, as the better player with more chance I'd going further, but Harriet does rather always seem to be the bridesmaid.

Katie leads 5-4*

Oh Harriet, crying her eyes out at the changeover. The reality is this third set has ebbed and flowed on Katie's racket - it's not that she's wasted the 4-2* lead, it's just Katie is playing better now.

Not the most enjoyable match... Poor Harriet looked to be crying at changeover there. Seems v distressed even when winning points too. Still anyone's to win at 5-5, will be purely mental at this stage...

Just needs Katie to point to her head now and Harriet will totally go!
