3-0 up with two breaks of serve in the second set then the match changed completely, as is so often the way with tennis. Sonay saves 4 set points to go 5 all.
Miracle to survive that *4-5 game but Burel handed her 30-0* in the next game and she played two very poor returns. The Frenchwoman's level is all over the place but Sonay needs to start doing something with the ball again. She's still running round the forehand but not doing anything with it.
*5-6
These balls now from Sonay are far too short and central.
Burel is playing much better but Sonay rather blew her opportunity to wrap this up quite comfortably. Needs to regroup and be ready, Burel's level could collapse again
Sonay often goes for inside-out forehands where she's in the tramlines, but doesn't go for enough on them and leaves all the rest of the court open. It has happened 4/5 times so far.
Does Sonay's service action sub optimise? She holds her racquet up at shoulder height whilst preparing and doesnt seem to get it into a solid scratch back position. She doesnt throw her body in from there - I am no expert but it feels all arm and no enough body weight going into it...?
I don't know if it is currently unavailable because it was only viewable live, or if one has to wait a period before it becomes available; but it may be worth checking this site from time to time just in case.
This is now available: Ms Kartal's match starts about 7hr 15 min in.

But I am sure it is fine, just looks weird to me?
It's quite a common action from those trying to protect back, shoulder issues. But I imagine it does have some downsides. Sonay doesn't get many cheap points on her serve at all.
Phew, she gets to 5 with a little help from the Frenchwoman.
