Cramp again I think. She just can't catch a break. Had a chance in that first Martic service game but on the break point she pulls up and can hardly walk.
It's just not meant to be poor girl. Do wonder if the long break between sets didn't help either.
For those not watching... Seems like Fran mentioned a hip injury that has induced cramp. Because she mentioned cramp, she can't have instant treatment, but has to wait til a changeover. So is playing out the next game hobbling and immobile until the changeover.

But at the changeover, she refused to lie down and have massage etc (I sort of wonder if she's like my Gran - if I get down on the floor, I might never get up )
Also noteworthy: when all complete, the British wildcards did just as well (2 out of 4) as the 'high profile' wildcards. Well done to all and commiserations to Fran.
A great R1 by the British women, with all of those given a more than 2 in 5 chance winning - 5 GB women through to R2 is the most for 37 years - in 1987, the five were Jo Durie (the only one who went on to win her R2 match), Annabel Croft, Anne Hobbs, Julie Salmon and Lisa Gould. The BBC have since mentioned this too, which either means it's confirmation that I didn't miss anything or that they picked it up off my tweet. (I imagine they have their own army of sports stats providers for Wimbledon though!)
This year's GB women's R2 win probabilities based on early odds:
We'll get at least one through, obviously, but hopefully one or two more will make it too. I am wondering whether having finally discovered Sonay, they're now going a bit crazy making her favourite to beat Burel, but she must have a good chance if she can play the way she has been.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!

Presumably the odds are UK biased. Sonay to be favourite is crazy, as is Emma at 63% against a player who has twice reached the round of 16. Lily is quite generous.
