It will be fascinating to see how Emma does against Alexandrova - a very tough draw for her and the stand out match for the Brits in Round One.

I think, and as others said in the qualifying thread, a real chance of Katie B against Harriet in Round 2, as I think that hopefully both Brits will come through - I'm not sure either will have wanted to play the other yet again, and a lot of pressure on Katie B to get another win against Harriet.

I will be intrigued to see how Fran gets on against Martic - Martic has a great record here and always raises her game in Grand Slams, but I think she is well beyond her best now and Fran has a real chance of an upset. I also think Lily has a decent shout against Korpatsch - the German has hovered around the 100 mark for several years now, sometimes inside and sometimes outside, and although she is a technically good player, she isn't powerful and may suit Lily as an opponent.

Heather against her doubles partner will be interesting - she will of course have a lot of knowledge of her opponent's game, character and mental state - and so you never know whether these things will hinder or help, but they probably make an upset a little more likely - Minnen will be favourite though.

Tough draw for Sonay I think, but the three wins in qualifying will have given her confidence a real boost, so hopefully she will be able to make a real match of it, and with Swiatek as a likely Round 2 opponent, what an incentive to win.

Could be a Boulter vs Dart 2nd round. Think Boulter will be happy, Maria has had success on the grass but I think her form has been off of late. Would meet Pegula in the 3rd round and Jabeur in the 4th.

Tough draw for Emma but depends which Alexandrova arrives on the day. Tough draws for Watson, Kartal and Jones. Miyazaki winnable

I think we could get a couple of lovely surprises here or end up with a couple of disappointing days. It definitely feels like the guys got the kinder set of draws this year.

I'm no expert on the womens tour, but it looks like a hard set of matches to me; I could see us losing all of those, I hope not. If I was forced, the Katie and Harriet matches and playing each other next look winnable; and Emma if she fires (on centre court no doubt, or Court One) could win.

So maybe 2 wins or 3 at a stretch - which, to be fair, from 7 entries would be reasonable?

I'd say those 3 would be reasonable returns but I would chuck jones on as a w/c possible 4th

Cirstea is on a really bad run and Sonay could frustrate her. I'm going with Sonay to make round 3...!

I think Fran and Harriet will win. Nervous about the others. Maria is no gimme in round 3, semi-finalist here just two years ago.

Jeezo, have you seen the doubles draws? They couldn't be worse.

Just had a quick look - matches against the #1 and #2 seeds hmm

I'll post in a new thread later as I have to go out for an hour.

Some favourable draws there.

I think Katie B will have far too much for Maria who though a good grass court player just doesn't have the power to get past Katie

Harriet is playing well right now and I see her winning fairly comfortably.

On paper you would say Fran has little chance but Martic has been out for a while and looked pretty average the other day so i think Fran has a chance of an upset here. So I'm going GB win.

I'm afraid I can't see Emma beating Alexandrova. Maybe on a show court with the crowd really noisy and supportive she might have a chance but Alexandrova is very decent on grass and can just blow opponents away.

Lily should beat Korpatcsh who is very average on grass. A really good chance to show her wildcard was justified.

Heather should, frankly, have little difficulty in overcoming Minnen. A really good opportunity for Heather to get through.

Sonay and against Cirstea is tough though Cirstea has been injured of late so an outside chance.

So I'm going for 4 definite wins, 1 possible win, 1 real outside chance of a win and 1 loss.

Here's how the bookies see it:

Wimbledon GB women's R1 win probabilities, based on current odds:

82% Boulter
68% Dart
54% Raducanu
47% Miyazaki
41% Kartal
37% Watson
28% Jones

E(GB women's R1 wins) = 3.56

Forget the Percentages Im going for Katie, Emma, Sonay and Heather to make it through to round 2
I think the draws could have been a lot worse.
