How many British main draw wins will we get at Wimbledon 2024?

So the 4 times a year slam wins prediction competition. For those new to this, simply predict how many British Main draw wins will be achieved across the 5 primary disciplines this year. All wins count 1 win, so for doubles if a British player is part of a pair with a non British player (most cases) that is 1 win; but also a British pair together and winning is just 1 win.

when you vote, please say what you vote for so we can keep tabs and anoint a winner at the end. But I realise some people prefer not to say and, of course, that is fine.

If you vote at either end of the range, please also say a specific number of wins you predict so we can see if you get it right!

as the main draw starts next Monday,  predictions will close this time next Sunday ie approx 8.30pm

PLEASE DONT LEAVE IT LATE TO ENTER!

Enjoy!

updated recent roll of honour:

AO 2023 - 20 wins

FO 2023 - 15 wins

Wimbledon 2023 - 30 wins

US Open 2023 - 26 wins

AO 2024 - 21 wins

FO 2024 - 13 wins

Recent prediction winners:

AO 2023 - Coup Droit, Indiana and one other un named person!!

FO 2023 - Miriam abc and JonH Comes Home

Wimbledon 2023 - Miriam abc

US Open 2023 - Elegant Point

AO 2024 - Elegant Point and Goldfish.

FO 2024 - Mdewey and two other un named people!!

So , can Elegant Point, Goldfish , Mdewey or two un named people get a second slam of the year at Wimbledon? Will Miriam abc defend her 2023 title? And will we get anywhere near 30 wins like last year?

Ive chosen a higher range than the FO as it is a home slam, we have more entrants, our lowest recent tally is 13 and we got 30 wins last year. So a range of 15 or less to 34 or more felt about right. Lets see!

31 (based on no logic beyond feeling we might have a little more depth in singles than last year!)

32 for the same reason as Tanaqui - greater success in singles matches

Apologies if my range ends up being skewed too low - if you vote 34 or more eg you reckon say 38, please say what the number of you go for .

Im guessing around 22 singles wins and then probably around another 10 doubles wins which I dont really pay attention to.

A second person voted 32 - if you feel comfortable saying who you are, that would be spiffing. Not to worry if not , though!

I've gone 33. After being very pessimistic for the French Open now the sun is out, the evenings are long and the grass is green so I've gone optimistic. And I've got a glass of wine on a monday. I think we've got a lot of Brits in this year, Jack, Cam (?), Katie B, Emma could have a decent run. Plus we may get the odd qualifier through, and may get brit v Brit matches in R1 especially. Plus lots of doubles players in as it's Wimbledon.

I decided to go for 34, it's as good a number as any.
