Xu vs Oz has to be the shortest total name length tennis match ever... Unless Kimberly Po had a similar opponent? Or Li Na...

 Li Na vs K Rb

the alkali metals match?

(I know there was no K Rb player, just couldn't resist it)

Kimberly Po has played Patricia Hy.

Best scrabble words match of all time, for certain.

Mika lost 6-3 6-4 but never really looked a threat from the bits I watched. The betting odds there were bonkers.

Mimi loses 6-4 6-4. I think she'll be a bit disappointed with that. She never threatened on return, forehand was ropey. But she's so young and so talented, just has to keep putting the work in.

As an aside, Patricia Hy (-Boulais as she was at one time) is Rebecca Marino's coach - she was in the stands at Ilkley and had some nice photos with her player. She may have been with Bouchard at some point, I have a vague recollection.

Mika's match was won and lost on her racquet.

Winners 21-12.

UEs 40-15.

Katy saved a match point too. Lukas is very tight. Katy the one trying to make play happen but it's so anxious.

Glimmer for Katy at 30-15* but Lukas gets some half decent length again and it's first to 10.

*6-6

Ah I knew that was going to happen. Not a good thing with the mental release of thinking you've won and then realising you haven't.

Desperately needs to refocus. But that's a failing of her team from the side she should not have made that mistake.
