Well done Marni. It's really hard to win qualifiers of GSs because of the high stakes - you only have to see how rare it is for GB players to get through to the MD. You could tell both players felt the pressure at times.
Showed a lot of mental strength to get through. Good luck in the next round but hopefully a confidence boost.

Feel sorry for Emily. At one stage it looked as though the grass court season might be a real breakthrough but hasn't quite been able to step up for big matches (Van Uytvanck, Birrell and now Jacquemot).
Millie has just missed 40-15* to take the second set. She's SO close but can't quite get this turned round. Saves two game points though, and here's a third set point...
