So three are odds-on favourites, one at evens, three are really close and even the 'most unlikely' is not far off
Confirms that betters thinks this will be a lot closer than the men......

Hey - I dont follow betting odds but always thought 2 was evens as per paste below - whats the maths on 1.83 and how does multiples differ from decimals?! I was always brought up on 2/1 , 7/2 type odds so not sure Ive ever understood these types of odds to be honest! Sorry if Im being thick !
In decimal odds, evens is shown as 2.00. Using the earlier example, a £10 wager at 2.00 would return £20 combining both your profit and original stake.18 Dec 2023
There is apparently a difference between arithmetic and bookmaking: when I did sums at school 50:50 was - and remains evens: the definition of evens being a fifty/fifty chance of winning. "Bookies taking their cut" was never factored in!
Surely, then, 2.0 is evens (i.e. if you win, you win the same amount as your stake), 1.83 is something else: "Bet 365 parity" or similar - if the bookies took a bigger cut then "evens" could be 1.8, or 1.5 or whatever.
I can start to see other areas where this could make maths fun: "the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of both other sides, minus a bit for the bookies ..."

What I meant was 1.83 was evens for the betting site odds that I put up
Hence, you can compare all the rest
And otherwise people would think that Mika was favourite (as she's less than 2).
But she isn't favourite - she's evens with the other player
i.e. yes, of course 2 is evens in basic maths, but for people who want to see how the bookies view the odds of a player winning, you need to know what evens is for that site
Im in London for the day tomorrow and was going to head down to Roehampton but the website says theyve sold out, doh! Does anybody know if you can buy tickets on site?
What's the point of the BBC getting the rights to show qualifying if half the matches are between foreigners that no one's ever heard of? Surely it is the perfect opportunity to showcase our up-and-coming players, especially when we have a rich crop.
Interesting watching Armani while listening to John Lloyd and Naomi Cavaday. Marni gives it a great crack (and could have led 4-2), but sometimes could benefit from taking a little off the ball and changing things up.
