But all our players were well under-ranked. And all were outsiders at the bookies (apart from George) So you've got to 'expect' them all to lose And simply take pleasure in the odd win here or there
The only one, to me, which was 100% one-sided was Jack PJ's match (and where the odds were truly mad - I put a huge bet (for me) on Lucas, it made no sense at all)
But all the others were in with a shout - they didn't look as though they didn't belong on the court
Of course it was lovely for Jay to win - he had a big family/friend contingent rooting for him (and Colin Beecher watching on). And his speech when he said he was close to quitting tennis last year or whenever was quite telling.
Very pleased for him
PS The Fonseca match was great - the guy's only 17 still, it went to a 10-point MTB in the third - he was 5-9 down, came back, and just lost at the finish - tons of Brazilian fans were disappointed but still smiling
As steven and I were saying about the madness of the odds for Jack PJ against Pouille, just to note that Lucas has now made the L32 in the main draw of Wimbledon
