And lo and behold Billy's match has appeared on the BBC website! How strange. But not complaining!
Jan, thanks for posting this! I loved watching, I'd have missed it if you hadn't given us the heads up.
I imagine that the semi final will be televised tmrw, I'm guessing that Auntie will have to cut a deal with whoever has the TV rights for the men's event.
It was actually on tv on BBC2 , for the last few games at least. Maybe it kicks in at a certain time eg 1.30pm?
I think tv coverage begins at 1pm - but this was the first time they'd shown an ATP match. I only discovered it by accident!

Billy might be just one win away from the top 100!
A SF win would take up to 610 points.
The only player who could prevent that being good enough for top 100 on Monday is Roberto Bautista Agut, currently into a final set ( and *0-2 down to Monfils ) in his Mallorca 250 QF. He would pass 610 points if he reached the fina
Ha, reading back I see that Bob had already cottoned on to this

... and RBA is currently a break down in that decider. Go Monfils.
If Billy beats Max Purcell, he will crack the Top 100.
I see that Billy was WR 201 on 27/05.
I mean, wow, right? What a stunningly career changing run Billy has had, not just this month but over the past 12 months really. As well as Wimbledon he will be looking at a US Open place, plus access to many main tour events between now and the end of the year, really impressive

Actually, it is a borderlne life changing run! An ex top 100 player will have many more career opportunities when they retire than somebody who never had his matches televised. And in the second half of this year, he has a good chance of exceeding his previous career earnings. Nice! He'll need the services of an accountant and an agent now, I'm sure the sponsorship offers will come thick and fast. But will Billy be able to transfer his excellent grass court form to the hard courts of North America? I don't see whe he shouldn't.
Are any of our guys going to make the trip to Rhode Island this year? I did look at their website, but the entry list info wasn't complete.

Darts shows Billy in qualies and a few in qualies alts - Newport has a lot of dropouts historically, so could easily move to get a few in, plus maybe Billy can push for a MDWC?

He is also an alt for Atlanta in the just released entry list from earlier this week
