L16: (WC) Billy Harris WR 139 vs (LL) Charles Broom WR 245
The winners of these two matches meet in the QF.
But you all knew that already, didn't you.
Yep. I separated the two results purely because the Billy/Charlie match was copied & pasted from a different post entirely, but I wanted to keep them together.

Cobolli another Italian rocketing up the rankings but difficult to tell his grass court pedigree as he had very close losses to Struff and Hurkacz before Eastbourne. But he beat Rinderknech so obviously comfortable on grass.

Yeah, instinct is he will have too much for Giles - free hit, in essence.
This is not an appropriate bottom half of the draw for an ATP 250.
On the flip side, an incredible chance for one or two to achieve a false ranking.
People were saying the same thing about Nottingham WTA last year when there were 3 Brits in the bottom half quarterfinals. It's the way results go sometimes, although appreciate that there have been all the late withdrawals.
A quarterfinal in a 250 is not going to give a player a false ranking, and if any of them defeat Cobolli, they will deserve it.

Luck evens itself out over the year. Having got these points over the summer, players have a chance to sustain their ranking and build.
I notice Billy is entered into the ATP 250 in Atlanta post Wimbledon- think of the summer hes going to have and the chance to improve - the top 100 is surely a target now and this British summer has just helped him on his way.
