I watched the highlights late last night - Pauls level was stunningly high, he looked like a top 50 player, top 20 even , and Shelton clearly enjoyed playing him as well, good shot making and attitude. Impressed
In a week of extremely good British wins, that certainly look like the best of the lot! Pulling "I won the NCAAs before you did" rank as well!
Also, PJ wins 10k Euros more than Billy - thus far anyway. I think that they both have a decent chance of making the final if they can maintain their level.
A great week for Paul (and a long week, given he started in qualifying) and a good scrap with Ofner. Certainly looks like he belongs at this level. Well done!
Looking forward to seeing what he can do at Wimbledon and, like Billy, hope he can have a win or two to get the money, the points and the recognition by the wider public.

The Times report on the three girls' match appeared on the site at 17.55 yesterday. It included about four paragraphs on Billy's match against Cobolli (+ a little bt of his back story). One reader then chipped in with:
Shame no mention of paul jubb's win to get to the sf in Mallorca
to which another, unbelievably, responded:
Probably because you just made that name up.
I chose not to dignify the latter remark with a comment (the Aussie ex-journo, Susan Goss, did that later!), but I did wade in to point out that the comment about the absence of any mention of Paul's win was unfair, as the article had been posted roughly half an hour after his match against Shelton got under way & that it had lasted for a minute short of 2¾ hours. I added a little more information about his ranking. There were one or two subsequent posts which mentioned both Paul & Billy, so word is beginning to filter out to the wider world.
