Congratulations to Oliver Bonding, 18U National Singles Champion 2025

Oli beat Ben Gusic Wan 6-2 6-3

Oli has been the stand-out performer all week. He made very few unforced errors today. He is working with experienced French coach Arnaud Agniel and they are an impressive team. A lot of good things are coming together for Oli. Hes grown into his body, he is moving well and his game is in good shape. I was proud of both boys today.

A mention in despatches for young Oli after he reached the semi-finals of the doubles in the Nottingham M25 in tandem with Toby Samuel yesterday, having dumped out the second seeds, Tom Hands & Harry W, in two tie-breaks in the first round. biggrin

Just a note but don't forget, SC, you could always nominate Oli (or anyone) in the Player of the Month award. You may not even know we have a player of the month nominations and voting process - I suspect you don't venture into the darker regions of the forum.

But just a thought - if you fancy mentioning a player in despatches, chances are they are worth keeping an eye on for a Player of the Month nomination

Was just looking through the individual player threads - every time I see Oliver Bonding's name on his site. It makes me think of Olly Golding and feel a bit sad he didn't manage to do more
