Never in doubt

Nigina was truly awful on grass and Ella had that in hand all the way

What a great result to come home from work to. Well done, Ella.
I was just watching Ranahs match for a few minutes boy does she have some fast arms speed on her serve.

Yes

I thought Lauryn put up a very decent showing today
Maya was a little bit too strong, as expected
But it wasn't a million miles off
Lauryn looked sharp and played well

Ranah is definitely up there too
First set was very close
I've always loved the surprise whip Ranah gets - as you say, fast arms - the balls fly off the racket and often not where you expect them

Talia (Gibson) trying to pepper Ranah's backhand (steering well clear of the forehand) overcooks it and Ranah breaks and can serve for the second set

Ive never seen her play before, and she reminds me of one of my other favourite players (Marni).

I never really comment on a player until I have seen them play a few times and this is the reason I have never commented on. Mimi Xu (Because I have never seen her play live) But I cant wait to see how Hannah K, Ranah , Mika Are doing in a few years along with a lot of old British girls who are swiftly moving up their rankings.

Hopefully exciting times ahead

Thoroughly enjoyed watching Ranah

SO good to see her back and (touch wood) healthy

She's always had a rather atypical game, and with a real high level of power for a youngster

Talia most certainly didn't give it to her either - she really had to work for it

Did Ranah play indoors or on grass?

Great wins nonetheless and good to see her back. Amazing that Ranah has four career Top 250  wins and ALL are at Ilkley.
