Week 25 - WTA250 - Birmingham, Great Britain Grass

Katie Boulter now down to 31 in the live rankings .

Its a real shame she was ill and had to withdraw as she could have had a good run here and guaranteed herself a Wimbledon seeding.

Could she still creep in at 32?

She could still creep in at 31. Need Dart to win tomorrow though

Still 3 players that in theory could overtake her, and I think the draw means it is possible that two of them may do. Bouzkova (unlikely - needs the title), Mertens and Krejikova are all seeded and still in.

So that's back-to-back walkovers Heather has given in doubles having won her first match. Do we know if it's her on one/both occasions?

Harriet lost. Now Mertens to lose or a top 32 player to pull out or it will be no seeding for Katie.

Harriet seemed very subdued today. She only argued 3 calls lol. Can only assume she was not feeling 100%, hopefully she will turn it around soon

Mertens had retired in her match so Katie will be the 32nd seed at Wimbledon

I trust it wasn't something like food poisoning!

Liv and Tereza plays their doubles QF tomorrow. Liv is the last GB woman playing this week (excluding the WC playoffs)
