Week 25 - ATP Challenger 125 - Ilkley Trophy - Ilkley, Great Britain (grass) - singles

No Cressy still in. Looks like Riedi was left out of draw even though he was highest alt to sign in. Bit of a mess

Cressy's been "demoted" & now plays the q3, Mochizuki.

Those two will be probably be at the Wimbledon play offs, while Felix will be getting a qWC there. Surely partly a tactical decision.

Tactical in what sense? Appreciate I am being slow.

So if JPJ or Jacob received a MD WC and won a match they would not be able to play in the wild card play offs. So much better to give to Felix who I am guessing will receive a qWC to Wimbledon directly. I havent analysed the situation to see if there is a chance the first two could actually receive a qWC themselves though.

With basically 3 tournaments this week it always makes it a bit uncertain who is doing what.

Spent a very short time at the Trophy today due to family commitments. And rain. Players were out on court again around an hour ago but grass was considered to be too slippery. I don't expect we'll see any play today, although tomorrow's forecast looks to be much better with very low chance of rain. Hopefully it'll be a bumper session!

Oh SC! Thing is , people dont read back in threads, some do, most dont. So perfectly good point to make , by Cd, and good for you to raise it when you initially wrote out the draw, also.

On a hard court too. That will have been a great experience.
