I'm disappointed in you SC. Watching with the sound on with those "commentators" wink

smile  I try & close my ears to the inanities they spout & largely succeed, but that one penetrated the force field!

Yeah Jack looked tired there. A good week and Paul played smart tennis.

Yes, great couple of weeks for Jack.and he is entitled to be a bit tired. Now have a good week or so off to recuperate and prepare for Wimbledon.

Yup,  he might have just won that , but the  couple of slips, especially the last one didn't help.  I  had no bets on this one anyway.  Dear Jack, I  do hope he is not too annoyed with himself re today..

Musetti, Thompson, Paul and Korda/Hijikata- not sure anyone would have expected those to be the last 4!

Hugely disappointing loss for Jack, hes failed to capitalise on the draw opening up and follow on his big win yesterday. But onwards and upwards hopefully he can have a good Wimbledon.

Yep. a right disgrace losing to the WR 13 ( and pretty decent grass court player ), especially with all that match practice Jack has had in the last 2 weeks!  confuse

I reckon he'll get over it.

Good week for both Billy and Jack. While it would have been great if Jack could have got the win, it's understandable he might have been a bit flat after yesterday's efforts. And he and Tommy Paul have had quite a few close battles (I think the H2H is pretty evenly split) so this was always going to be tricky. Onwards and (hopefully) upwards!

I don't know, there's something in what twentytoone says.....

It's not HUGELY disappointing, Jack has done really really well

But I think it's fair to say that, after you've just beaten the world #2, playing brilliantly, a fan can be slightly disappointed that he went on to lose against the world #13, I don't think that's completely unreasonable - you're just saying you got your hopes up, you were praying that he'd play a blinder like yesterday and you're slightly disappointed he didn't

TBH, I expect Jack will be slightly disappointed too

It's not taking anything away from what he's achieved this weel

Yes thats more what I meant am just a massive Jack fan and thought this was his chance to really break through and Cement himself as a real grandslam and big title contender. but my comment was probably a little harsh And said out of emotion rather than rational thinking.

I completely accept your point (and twentyones to be fair, I didnt mean to be rude). But after 4 clay defeats in a row I think he would have taken an atp win and QF in consecutive weeks, losing to someone who is much higher ranked (although hopefully not for long). Its always disappointing to lose; I guess its just the hugely that I disagreed with. A QF and a break before Wimbledon is not the worst thing in my view, especially with Jacks injury/fitness issues previously (which seem to be improving rapidly).
