Soumeya was also playing here, I believe, with Maria Kostiuk

But they lost 4-6 0-6

I'm sure she wasn't in the draw when it first came out. Would have played Ali+ if they'd both won.

For the record

L16:- Soumeya Anane (GBR) / Mariia Kostiuk (UKR) UNR (1021+UNR) LOST TO Eleni Christofi (GRE) / Ekaterina Makarova (***) CR191 (710+181) 4-6 0-6

Don't know why Ali Collins and Freya Christie stopped playing together, but they've struggled since.

IMO, Freya needs to take a leaf out of Olivia Nicholl's book and find a really good foreign partner.

I think Freya could be an excellent doubles player (far better than Ali) but she needs a partner who pushes her and complements her style of play.

She wasn't. Last minute alt after one of who they replaced retired in singles today.

Thanks - I didn't think I'd missed it when I went through all the draws earlier in the week - and the OOP this morning
