Week 24 - ATP 250 - Boss Open - Stuttgart, Germany (grass)

L28:  Marcos Giron (USA) WR 50 (CH = 44 in February) vs Andy Murray WR 75 (CH = 1 in November 2016)
L28:  Sebastian Ofner (AUT) WR 45 (CH = 37 in January) vs (6) Jack Draper WR 39 (CH = 35 last month)

I suppose that the plus side of that draw is that, if Andy & Jack both win, we'll at least have a guaranteed representative in the last 16.

Both are tough matches - any Andy match is tough these days - and Ofner got to the Ilkley final last year and has risen in the rankings over the past year.

Think Jack should still win, less confident on Andy.

That was close......

Ofner served for the second set, and the Austrian forum should be pretty cross that he didn't manage to get a set in that match

But Jack played a pretty super tiebreak

Well done, good grass court start

Looking like Jack is getting poised to taking over The British No1 crown.

Fight him for it, Cam !

Would be good to see both do enough to get seeded for Wimbledon.

Hard to get too excited re Andy now - it doesnt impact his legacy, obviously, but it does dampen the end of his career and not sure I want to see him keep on going like this. I really do hope we see Queens/Eastbourne/Wimbledon as the end for him (and maybe Paris, but not sure re merits of that) and he can go out with a run of British events and the fans behind him

I read an article today that confirmed that Andy Murray hasn't broken serve since March which is some stat.

Wow on one level, although he missed much of that period due to his ankle injury!
