So who had the foresight to pick Charlie for the top 10 this year?

Who had the foresight to put a quid on a Fearnley v Broom final ?

Congrats and good luck to both of them.

Ranking wise, Charlie can't be far away from automatically getting into US Open Qs

Putting aside how well Charlie has done, Dan losing is almost as bad as Cam against Jack PJ earlier in the week. Really worrying results for both of them.

I watched a bit on challenger TV and Dan really didn't want to be there. Come Wimbledon, or Queens if it stops raining fingers crossed he'll remember how good he can be.

Yeah, just read someone tweeting that also. Hope thats the case!

Sounds like Dan was a bit hacked off at having to go indoors and wasn't up for the fight. Which is a shame. But important points for Charlie.

Yes, heard one sarcastic comment at least  re  'the wonderful surface' !!

Less getting hacked off and more getting his head down and winning tennis matches might serve Dan well. His head doesn't seem in a good place just now. Rral pity. C'mon Dan, rouse yourself!

And Jake's the !

Final:  (Q) Jacob Fearnley WR 525 defeated (Q) Charles Broom WR 283 by 4-6 6-4 6-3   biggrin  bleh

Is he the lowest ranked player ever to win a Challenger 125 (or one of its previous incarnations)?

Nothing against Charlie but I don't really know him, didn't know him as a junior, don't feel any real connection

So I'm thrilled for Jake !!!!!

What a win, what a boost going forward

It was a shame one of them had to lose, as they've both had a good week and it was obviously a hard fought final, but well done to Jake for finishing it off with the win and the title!

Brilliant performance from them both but special congratulations to Jake. I was watching the presentation on the iplayer and firstly you couldn't hear the interview with Charles and then they cut the broadcast just as the interview with Jake started. Rubbish coverage from the BBC.
