Oh, interesting to see Billy and Luke teaming up! Looks like Skander hates grass (he seems to have only ever played doubles at one grass tournament, an M25) and maybe Luke is hoping that he and Billy can snag a Wimbledon WC together.

Skander is alt 1 in Netherlands on grass next week with Mahut though so maybe doesnt totally hate it!

Ah, thanks for the info, Jon. I hope that doesn't mean a permanent split with Luke and is just some strategic repartnering for a few tournaments.

I would be really surprised. Doubles pairs often mix things up. Or maybe he's doing a practice week.

Interesting to see the two young Swiss guns playing together

in 2020, Dominic won the Roland Garros doubles title (with Cobolli)

While Leandro played with a Belgium lad

in the 2020 Aussie Open Juniors, it was Leandro who won the title, playing with Ionel, while Dom played with Kym

I've always assumed there was a bit of 'bad blood' between the two of them

But maybe not......

Marcus was going to play here and next week with Christian Harrison but if they did enter they would not have made the advanced list and Christian is now playing this week in Germany and next week in Nottingham with Fabrice Martin who has a PR around 30 so that is someone Christian could potentially make DA at Wimbledon with.

Just as an aside re this match, it was SO good to see all the guys playing their match, finishing, shaking hands, and walking off the court and back to the clubhouse, laughing, chatting, having a joke ....

I am assuming Marcus will need to play with a Brit to get a wild card for Wimbledon.

Any idea who Marcus is lined up for at Nottingham, Ilkley and Wimbledon?

Well Jonny Marray got a WC to play with Freddie Nielsen one year and that worked out OK. Personally I was hoping he would get one with Christian (who is an excellent player) but that appears to be going by the by, so he probably play with a Brit now.
