It would be if I'd heard of Michelson, but obviously he's not ranked that high without a good reason. Can anyone tell me how he got there?

Hes been a sharp riser, breaking through mainly in the American hard court season last year at challenger level. Hes been on the atp tour mostly this year, with solid if not spectacular results. I suspect the grass will be quite new to him, but his results at challenger level last year were impressive.

There's a fair bit of information in this US Open news article

He's also 6'4"with a big serve and decent defence. Picture of them both below.

I actually saw Michelsen play De Minaur in Paris. Wasnt impressed but thought it was probably an issue with clay.

Kyle lost first set 6-2 and does not look great. Looks to have lost a lot of power especially on serve.

Kyle loses 6-2, 6-1. Not pretty and he should be nowhere near any Wimbledon wildcards based on that.

Well done Evo, was never going to be an easy opener against a top 100 player

You have to wonder how much Kyle can get back into the game. He seems so far away from the big player he once was.

Such a pity about Kyle. It's really not looking like he'll ever get back to anything near the level he was.

But great results for Dan (in such a tough opener) and for Billy! Fingers crossed that Paul can make it a hattrick of wins in what currently seems to be a pretty tight match.
