I think twentytoone's underlying point is really that it is debatable how good a win it was for Kyle with the reasonable question marks about Ryan.
Let's see how Kyle does in the MD here and in the.coming weeks. I think the jury is still very much out until we see some real follow up, which hopefully we will.

Yeah, I get that point and it is well made - that said, I still think it was a positive for Kyle, just getting a win in a challenger against someone who is experienced on grass, that will do for now.
As you say, he needs to back it up, though. For now, he has done all he can.
Fery lost comfortably in the end. Not convinced his wildcard for Wimbledon is set in stone yet, he might need a couple of results in the next few weeks. Excited for Jubbs match, Michaelson is very talented but assume he is a relative novice on grass, but could be an opportunity. Similarly fonseca vs Edmund is interesting as well.

I know hes been talked up a lot on here but to me hes struggling to make any form of a decisive breakthrough.
I saw him play at Nottingham last Summer and thought he played ok but I am not sure he is a top 100 contender. I know hes had some injuries this year which will have stalled his progress somewhat but I was hoping for a better score today.
Happy to defer to others with better knowledge than I but the jury is still out for me right now.
