Really good win for Kyle, I am sure he will be happy about that.

id have been surprised if Ryan won this was his third match since feb

Agree, it was always a tough one for both - whoever won, it would have been positive for them, I think

Ryan stands a decent chance of a LL place if one comes up, while Kyle stands no chance  so I'm pleased Kyle has won.

I think twentytoone's underlying point is really that it is debatable how good a win it was for Kyle with the reasonable question marks about Ryan.

Let's see how Kyle does in the MD here and in the.coming weeks. I think the jury is still very much out until we see some real follow up, which hopefully we will.

Yeah, I get that point and it is well made - that said, I still think it was a positive for Kyle, just getting a win in a challenger against someone who is experienced on grass, that will do for now.

As you say, he needs to back it up, though. For now, he has done all he can.

Jubby did get a good win, 4 and 4 and joins Kyle, Billy, Arthur and Dan in the main draw

Ben Jones in action currently

Good win for Billy H over the 8th seeded Shang. He will be pleased with that one, I think.

Arthur plays Kukushkin next - Kukushkin will be a tough opponent, good test for Arthur

Jubb gets top seed Michelsen. Kyle gets Fonseca.

Go, Billy!

And great to see Kyle and Paul qualify.

Fery lost comfortably in the end. Not convinced his wildcard for Wimbledon is set in stone yet, he might need a couple of results in the next few weeks. Excited for Jubbs match, Michaelson is very talented but assume he is a relative novice on grass, but could be an opportunity. Similarly fonseca vs Edmund is interesting as well.

I think four qualifiers across men and women when none were seeded to do so was a decent enough return. And Billy the icing on the cake today.

Im not entirely convinced by Fery at the moment.

I know hes been talked up a lot on here but to me hes struggling to make any form of a decisive breakthrough.

I saw him play at Nottingham last Summer and thought he played ok but I am not sure he is a top 100 contender. I know hes had some injuries this year which will have stalled his progress somewhat but I was hoping for a better score today.

Happy to defer to others with better knowledge than I but the jury is still out for me right now.
