Week 23 - W100 Surbiton, Great Britain - Grass

If Heather wants to be sure of playing mixed at the Olympics she needs to get her doubles ranking as high as possible over the coming weeks. Whether Harriet is the right partner to enable that I'm not sure, as much as enjoy watching them together.

Heather and Olivia are the only ones missing here from the GB top 10. I'd expect Heather to team up with Harriet, but not sure about Liv and who she would partner. I would expect all the rest of this weeks pairs to remain together though.

It's too late. The 10 June rankings will be used for entry into singles, doubles and mixed.

Coric predicts WR47 although it is possible she could be overtaken by a couple of players. Even if she had played and won Surbiton she'd only gain a few points and a place or two. So we'll have to wait and see.

Heather had entered Nottingham with Shibahara and are currently set to be seeded fourth. Naiktha and Maia also in the main draw. Good that there ladies in off ranking. I guess the best performers this week will join them.

Ok, I've arrived. Not many players around at the moment. Waiting beside court 1 for Millie.

Would love to see Watson and Shibahara as a regular pair. Shibahara is currently playing with Wang Xinyu, so I suspect she will continue that partnership.

Meanwhile Millie has taken the second set in the TB to make it one set all and we await the final set.

Hope the A is enjoying the tennis in Surbiton.

Emily played very well and got better as the match went on. Deserved the win.

Millie was very competitive but I got the impression that Gadecki always had a slight edge.

Not easy following two matches at once!
Naiktha playing on court 4 now.

Just watched a bit of a volley practice session on one of the padel courts with Lissey, Freya and their coach - interesting.

Ranah and Lauryn were out practising with JB coaching.

Also spotted, Katie Swan and Abigail Johnson.

Of all the 10 women players I have seen so far today Tomljanovic is by far and away the best, despite her current ranking.
