Tough final - as ERV stole Gonzalez from Neal, it would be nice to beat him to the title, and on French soil!

Do we know he stole him? That partnership was not working. And I understand that ERV repaired with Gonzalez when Mahut was injured in order to try and ensure a Top 10 ranking to guarantee he could play with Mahut at the Olympics. Which hasn't worked out either.

Skupski and Krawczyk's win today avenged their defeat in the Australian Open Final, so hopefully a good omen.

And I get that. Not sure Mahut, Roger-Vasselin, Gonzalez or Skupski have much to shout about after the doubles merry-go-round at the end of last year.

Its been a strange doubles season, looking at the possible top 8 pairs as they stand, no Brits anywhere near, quite a few different pairs to last season, yet an average age of 35 and only 2 players under 30 in those top 8 pairs, with Bopanna going to be nearer 50 than 40 come the tour finals!

What a shame, but well done to Neal and Desirae for getting to the final.
