I have just voted for Henry too  though it's showing only 1 vote for each of 5 people. I don't want to change my vote.

Thats strange! And its showing youve voted? Maybe you placed a vote at the time I updated the poll to include Isabella and it somehow didnt register your vote in the scoring.

Ill need to keep a manual record of Henry being plus 1.

its going to be one of those months, I feel!

Yes  because I can see other's votes.

Thanks Miriam, Ill just have to remember to add 1!

so 8 votes currently placed!

I've gone for Ella. There were many worthy entries this month but I think I mostly expected them to happen if felt they were at least strong possibilities. Ella's title seemed to come out of the blue, and was so unexpected but at the same time so overdue as a fulfilment of junior promise that I really feel her achievement has been the most joyous.

Lovely supporting narrative , thanks Babfive!

17 votes so far plus 1 vote that is manual due to system glitches equals 18 in total.

no adjustments appearing from anyone so going to assume all votes are ok and people looking just need to add the manual vote for Henry to the tally.

few updates if any from me today as we are out all day. Check in properly this evening !

This is a no-brainer. I'm surprised there is a vote to be honest. Clearly there can only be 3 winners. So step forward and take a bow Jack, Jake and Lui.

Have voted for Ella Macdonald. So many world class performances this month, and yet there was something about Ella's first singles title (combined with two doubles titles) that struck a chord. She's kind of been written off since switching from junior to senior tennis but has been rewarded for her commitment.

Yes, my thoughts too and I have voted for Ella.

My other two main thoughts were for Henry and Fran. And while we should most certainly never take Fran's exploits for granted with what she she has to overcome, her title was actually not that big a surprise. The more unexpected month was Ella's and it has been great to see.

I've gone for Madeleine Brooks for winning a first doubles title (and a W75, no less) after plugging away getting closer and closer over the past few weeks. I really love persistence and consistency!

But there are so many worthy candidates this month, despite the relatively short list of nominations. Sam, Luke, Henry, Fran and Ella all had great months, too!

Plenty of good candiadates this month and not an easy choice. So I looked at their records for the month (only for the women though):-

Madeleine 6-2 in doubles for the month and one doubles title - a well-deserved title as Tanaqui has explained.
Sonay 10-0 and two singles titles. Returning from injury and probably playing at a level below her potential.
Ella 12-2 in singles with one title and 7-0 in doubles with two titles
Fran 5-1 in singles with one title

Ella at just 18 has had a very good month and although competing at a lower level than the others has excelled herself. She gets my vote.

Great analysis, TA! Such an impressive month for all of them.

And now 34 votes - which equals the May record (not that it was high!) which is great with 24 hours still to go.

And it is looking like a tight one at the top - weve had two tied PoM votes the last two months, could we be heading two a third in a row? Thats never happened before !
