Weeks 22+23 - Roland Garros men’s doubles

Darn, it has all been going so well for Henry & Harri. Got to really hope that Harri will be back in action fairly soon.

Oh, that's disappointing news. cry Hope it's just a mild injury and he can recover quickly.

Joe and Rajeev take the opening set 6-1, not watching but that looks like a great first set for them

And Joe and Rajeev went down 6-4 in the final set - that's a big disappointment given the first set.

Disappointing, though I see that Bolelli & Vavassori are a clear 3rd in this season's doubles race and would go top if they go on to win the title. So certainly a pair in form.

Runners up in the Aussie Open so they have slam pedigree to be fair - still disappointed though !

Yes, I was looking at how they had accumulated their points and was just going to add that. Also been very consistent in other tournaments.

For Neal, he is now 10th in live rankings. Behind him, Bolelli, Pavic, Gille and Vliegen could overtake him and remove him from the top 10. One of them getting past him would feel likely. If G and V win their current match with Bopanna and Ebden, they play B and V next and the job will be almost done.

Although the Belgians just lost, so that helps Neal

I hadnt really appreciated that the mens doubles semi between Bopanna/Ebden and Bolelli/Vavasori is a repeat of the AO final. These two pairs with Granollers/Zeballos looking like the standout pairs at the moment

On a related note, Andy said in his press conference today that Jamie doesn't have a doubles partner for Wimbledon and he might play with him.

Am guessing (only guessing mind) that Michael Venus might be playing with Marcus Daniell, with whom he won Olympic bronze in Tokyo and has returned from injury for a last hurrah.

Apparently Venus is playing the grass court season with Neal Skupski. I can't keep up!

Stu Fraser's contribution last Friday to the Andy & Jamie at Wimbledon discussion, together with comment on Andrey Rublev's disgraceful on-court behaviour & Evo's & Liam's thoughts on, how shall I put it, RG crowd noise.
