Henry now just behind Lloyd for GB #4 in the live doubles rankings
Live 43. Lloyd 1900 points ( - 180 ) Live 44. Henry 1891 points ( + net 81 so far )
Potentially interesting with Olympics qualification finalised after this tournament. Of course Jack & Cam are higher ranked though and we can only take six players overall. If Joe and Neal play together the second pair looks like it will be a completely random and untested one.
That's a great result for Harri and Henry! And so pleased to see Luke and Skander win a GS match and continue their progress onwards and upwards.
Well done to Joe and Rajeev and Jamie and Michael, too. Julian and Robert were always facing an uphill task with that draw and such a shame Andy and Dan couldn't find the edge in those tiebreaks.

Is Dan still inside cut off ? Based on openeras list today he was. And Neal moved up to 8 live rankings today but could fall below 10. But could be Cam, Jack, Dan, Joe , Neal and one other for the men? to play doubles with one of Cam, Jack or Evo? Does Andy as a past champ take one of the 6 places or would he be additional ? if one of the 6, that would look like your 6, wouldnt it? Or am I missing something (as I often do!).
Presumably then Andys dreams of Olympic success or done - he aint going to get any joy in singles and if Joe has chosen Neal (is that confirmed?) thencould cam and Jack make the field as a doubles pair? In fact, is there any place where theres a list of possible doubles pairs in possible order?

Dan will almost certainly qualify as a direct acceptance, and Andy will be offered one of the two ITF Places for Grand Slam/Olympic champions. If both Dan and Andy play singles, that will leave only 2 places for doubles specialists. A Top 10 doubles player will qualify with a partner of any ranking, but otherwise combined rankings are used for acceptances.
So if Neal and Joe played together, the other pair would need to be two of the four singles players with a high enough combined ranking. Of if Neal and Joe are both Top 10, they could choose a singles partner of any ranking.
While the ITF asks that nations pick any singles player that qualifies, there is nothing to prevent a nation choosing to pick 2 singles players and 4 doubles players. So the LTA might decide not to pick Dan and Andy, or they might decide not to play, and then they can pick four doubles specialists. Or if one doesn't play, then three doubles specialists can be picked.

The nations haven't nominated doubles pairs yet. The ITF will write to nations with a list of singles players that have qualified based on the rankings of 10 Jume, and nations have until 19 June to confirm the entry of these singles players and nominate doubles pairs.
Doubles acceptances are slightly complicated. Top 10 players get to choose a partner of any ranking, then combined ranking are used. Once the player quotas have been reached, priorities go to pairs with two singles players, then one singles player, then two doubles players. So nations need to nominate with this in mind. But difficult when you don't know who else is being nominated.
On a related note, Andy said in his press conference today that Jamie doesn't have a doubles partner for Wimbledon and he might play with him.
Am guessing (only guessing mind) that Michael Venus might be playing with Marcus Daniell, with whom he won Olympic bronze in Tokyo and has returned from injury for a last hurrah.
