In spite of a few ITF titles this year, Jay's not exactly been romping past lower and unranked players of late, plus he's had some dodgy doubles results. He's generally been slowly moving back up the rankings but still seems some way off his best

I wonder what his grass court season plans are

Yeah, it does seem steady eddie progress for Jay, slowly does it - not sure of the state of his fitness? I have said in other threads, I feel like he should be playing some challengers now, maybe he will on the grass if he can get wildcards to them?

 I'm not sure. Maybe he should continue to build up confidence and match play first. He's only won one main draw match out of the two Challenger tournaments he's entered this season and only five last season in eleven tournaments. As you say the grass season is different though because it's a relatively short season, not the same travel cost and he'll probably get some WCs.

I've no idea about Soto but, on paper, this looks like a good win, given the nice straightforward score
