Away our most successful British singles player.

Apart from Sue Barker who won it on the womens side. I just wonder if there is some merit in the training Andy went through in Spain when he was still so young? Sanchez -Casal Academy Barcelona.

Difficult to compare Murray and Barker. She won in 1976 as top seed with all the other leading players competing in World Team Tennis in the States. Yes it was a gutsy effort, but she didn't otherwise pass the third round in Paris.

Out of curiosity what was the last year no Brits reached the second round of singles at Roland Garros?

Yeah, but a wins a win. Backed it up the next year with SF at Wimbledonwhich she really should have won. Shame Andy couldnt get a win this year, but likewise for Nadal. Also Norrie struggling, goodness hope he can get through or we shall have no man left in the second round.

Yes a wins a win, but I still think Andy's Roland Garros record stands by itself.

2020 but Cam looks like he could make it three out of three exits for the men as he goes a break down in the fifth against Pavel Kotov.

Oops sorry. Should have refreshed my page before posting. I remember it being a miserable event on and off the court.

Seems like everyone is writing off Dan before he's played. Yes, I know it is a tough ask, but you never know, miracles do happen !

Cam and Jack are now live ranked 35 and 37 respectively, with quite a number of players who could drop them further during the French Open fortnight, so we are at risk of having no men's singles seeds for Wimbledon.

The mixed draw is out. Neal is seed 4th, Joe and Heather team up.
