Weeks 22+23 - Roland Garros men’s singles main draw

Rain stops play just when Jack was getting some momentum leading 4-1 in set 4. Damn!

May be better for him than a straight off 5 sets. Whatever, he has a very decent chance now. Up to him.

Rain breaks always take me back to Tim Henman at Wimbledon when he was our great hope. I remember Tim being rained off twice and both times it changed the

trajectory of the match completely, once for the good and once not, so I may have been erring on the negative side in my fears for Mr Draper.

It's all down to the fifth set now.

Come on, Jack!

Personally, I am just following the scores.

De Jong is 9/10 on BP conversions. Jack is 7/11.

Jack's struggling here. I hope I'm wrong but I get the feeling it's not his day.

A very disappointing loss and you shouldnt be losing to a player ranked 176 even on clay .

Jack needs to get on the grass play Surbiton and try and get seeded for Wimbledon.

Hes been somewhat unlucky in the earlier clay season with some horrible draws and needs to avoid that at Wimbledon where his game could take him a long way .

Jesper de Jong went after the ball more and rewarded for his aggressive play. Jack fought back well but too inconsistent.

It's possible to subscribe to Discovery + for £6.99 for the month, by the way.

de Jong found another level when the finishing line came in sight and J never looked like being able to go with him sadly.
