Weeks 22+23 - Roland Garros men’s main draws

Andy in the prime evening main court slot this evening against Stan. Great way to go if it ends being his last match in Paris (at the FO).

Jack out on court 12 earlier in the day.

Jack had a real ding dong battle with JdeJ in one of the Fourlis challengers that he won a couple of years ago, went to a final set TB but out of the 2 he's progressed a lot further since.

Definitely hoping Jack can take this opening match. I hope Jack can do it in 3 but am expecting 4 as de jong has been playing a few rounds here in qualies.

Not at all expecting Andy to win, but do think we will see a 3 hour plus battle, probably 4 sets is my feeling - to Stan. But could also be a 3 sets thrashing to Stan as well.

The above will be an interesting one smile

Dans form has been a bit off recently, but it would be fantastic if he could beat Rune - I have every thing crossed, but dont think hes ever been that successful at RG? Hoping for a minor miracle biggrin

Vekic has just won her match by retirement

So Jack should be up in 10 mins (assuming both guys are around, and ready )

Hmmmm, only tuned in for the last 5 mins - where it all went south and Jack lost the first set 5-7

And then a dreadfuly game from de Jong with 2 double faults and one really poor UE gives Jack the break in the second set

And then, 40-0 up, Jack plays a great point, thinks de Jong isn't getting to the drop shot - wrong - and then loses the next set of points - and gets broken :(

This looks like a disastrous opening game for the British men, Jack dropping the first 2 sets to world no 177 Jesper de Jong and then broken in the third...but Jack's just broken back. There is hope yet but he's making hard work of it.

Jack needs to win a tie break to stay in the match.

Jack breaks at start of set 4. Let's hope this is turning around for him.
