Katie could hardly have got a worse draw if she'd been unseeded.

Katie and Heather have seeds as does Liv - in her case the second seeds!

Harriet's on, a break down at 2-3*...

The camera work on these outside courts is pretty shoddy.

Harriet did very well to recover the break in the first, saving a set point before eventually losing the tiebreak 3-7.

She's up a break in the second.

Can't see her winning but credit after the last few weeks of poor performances she's definitely 'peaked' (to the extent she can on this surface) for this one.

Yes, I thought (from the little bits I saw) that it was a very decent effort, a far more respectable performance that many had feared

Looks like we're really going for the clean sweep of first round exits in the singles. Only Katie Boulter left now.

Really thought HD would be coming to collect a paycheck, but she was as good as she could be on the surface, and should be proud of that performance. Who knows with a better draw

 And Dan Evans

Harriet actually played well, just unfortunately that serve does not hold up at this level

Seems like everyone is writing off Dan before he's played.

Yes we should never do that. But five first round clay court defeats at tour level, and a couple of Challenger wins is slim pickings. Maybe he can put in a performance of a lifetime.
