We were in Italy on holiday recently. Rome underground was plastered with pictures of Alcaraz, Sinner and Sabalenka, even then we knew that Sinner would not be playing. In Tuscany to my surprise on the town hall building was a permanent banner of Jasmine Paolini, her home town is Banja di Lucca, with supporting message like this town is with you. Pictures were of her playing in Dubai and no 14 in the world. I see she is  in doubles semis with Errani in Rome.

Lucca itself is one of our favourite places in Italy. I don't think we have been to Bagni di Lucca although we have been to Barga and Castelnuova del Garfagnana where Paolini was born.
