I've been watching Sarah's progress for a while, from losing in first qualifying to now beating much higher players, she's obviously learning a lot - good for her, so pleased

A bad-serving day. Only won 7/26 points on serve compared with her opponents 12/28. The first 6 games were all breaks if serve though. She only made 38% of first serves against 68% so there is plenty of hope yet.
1 ranking point isn't going to make much difference and she'll be doing well to make further progress. If this is as far as she goes, personally I'd rather she lost FQR so it wouldn't have counted towards her allowance of 10 pro tournaments. Not sure if there is an age criteria to UTR events, but she may have been better going down the route Mimi took for clay practice so as to not waste one of the pro events she's allowed to play. It was quite ingenious of Mimi's team to choose the UTR rather than ITF for clay practice to save her pro ITF allowance for events where it she would make use of it.
L32: (q) Sarah Tatu (GBR) WR1068 v Ekaterina Reyngold (***) WR490 L32: (q) Hannah Klugman (GBR) WR665 (15yo JWR 7) v Daniela Vismane (LAT) WR408
Reyngold is 13-9 (8-4 on clay) this year and made the QFs of her last 2 clay events at the beginning of April. A win for Sarah would be her 2nd best by ranking. Vismane is 13-9 on clay this year with all her losses to players ranked higher than Hannah.

And she won it! Agree smart move. Good for Mimi to string so many matches together back to back. Also reasonable coverage.
