Week 17 - ITF W35 Nottingham, Great Britain - Hard

Brilliant Mika. So committed, court craft is really improving. Love to see her on grass over the summer, with that serve.

If Mika gets the title, she will be the first of the Hannah/Mimi/Mika triumvirate to get a senior title, is that correct? Have Hannah or Mimi been in an ITF final at all?

Mimi made the SF in Glasgow in October from qualifying, but that's the nearest any of them have got so far.

F:- Mika Stojsavljevic (GBR) WR874 [WC] v Julie Belgraver (FRA) WR669

Julie also having a great week, although her oppoments have been lower ranked than Mika's apart from Diana Marcinkevica WR315 who was seeded 2

For comparison Emma won a couple of $15K events at the age of 15 and a $25K just after her 17th birthday.

If Lambda is on line, quick question. If, not tempting fate, Mika wins today, would that give her potential entry to higher level events? I sill find junior tennis and transition very complicated!

Only through her higher ranking. She doesn't get any privileges for winning a W35 as a junior.
