Curious that when it's a Brit there's no comments about the Tennis Integrity Agency like about Mayot (however jokingly they may have been).

When it's a Brit rolling around in agony, as opposed to a non-Brit retiring completely unexpectedly? Speaking for myself, the nationality in either case is irrelevant. Watching the young frenchman yesterday the commentators - nationality unknown - were equally nonplussed by the retirement.

There seem to have been a few of these sudden injuries this past week or two - Cazaux, Mayot, Fery, Murray even.

Hi I watched the match and unfortunately Arthur rolled over screaming in pain holding his leg. Did not look good at all

Hi Shhh no I'm not but I've been following all the posts on here in detail for at least 10 years and love this site. Poor Arthur was playing really well in a high quality match. Watching him in such obvious pain was hard to watch so I switched off so didn't see if he had to be carried off court etc - I suspect he did.

I'm Scottish but live in Harrogate - I think there are a few Scots/Harrogate residents on here.

According to multiple sources, the good news is it was just cramp. Hopefully Arthur will be back again very soon.

Thanks for the update    that sounds a lot better than it initially seemed. Hope we'll see Arthur back soon and continuing to make steady progress.

Yes indeed, sounds very good news compared to our fears. Hopefully top 250 ( for starters! ) will only be slightly delayed. For now he is now live ranked 251.
