Week 14 - ITF W35 Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy - Clay

Em makes another draw - this time from 10th on the alt list

QR1:- Emily Webley-Smith (GBR) UNR/2018 v Giulia Carbonaro (ITA) WR935 [13]

Probably will play the #1 seed in the next round if she can win this one.

There's no live scores but they've kept the cameras running on the streamed courts and it's predictably, without umpires, absolute carnage. Blatant cheating, unfair accusations of cheating, arguments, players wandering onto the other side of the court, supervisors being called all the time.

Got to love the lower rungs of the ladder.

Looks like Em & Sofia have a walkover win in their doubles

Three walkovers in the doubles. Waiting for Em and Sofia's next opponents who are actually playing at the moment.

Closer than I expected, but Em and Sof are now a horrendous 11-24 as a pairing in MTBs. That's a lot of missed points over the years...

They go out to the stronger singles pairing 6-3 1-6 10-6

So much for those that say MTBs are a lottery

I'd be very happy to win the lottery 11 times in 35 attempts

Not in a 1 in 2 chance lottery though. I'd think something was amiss.
