L16:  (4) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 101 (38+63) vs (WC) Elliot Benchetrit & Aziz Dougaz (MAR/TUN) CR 1119 (722+397)

Looks like a decentish draw for the new pairing.

A sound, if unspectacular, start.

Would love to be wrong, but struggle to see Evo progressing here.

Really pleasing to see Harri and Henry getting some wins together.

Sadly, you weren't wrong:

Dang - Evo is staring at a big ranking drop over the next 5 weeks or so, going to collapse down to the lower end of the top 100 unless he can pull out a win or two...

We seem to read a lot of Dan playing a really good match but losing. Ive not seen him at all as dont have access to any channels showing tennis - my tennis following is sadly just looking at scoreboards and reading reports, the odd highlights reel on the atp - so is he really playing well, and why is he losing consistently and for some time? Hes my favourite player, so its not a dig. Has he lost something in his game the past 6 months or more?

As an aside, it was strange to see Morocco is an hour behind us with the recent time change here. Henry and Harri play at 1230 local time, 1.30pm our time.
